Oscar Schmidt
Oscar Schmidt of Jersey City, New Jersey, was a manufacturer and distributor of many different types of instruments in the 40's and 50's. But these Ukuleles were probably made by Harmony or Regal and distributed by Oscar Schmidt. interestingly, they produced the decals for the Harmony and Regal companies. The Applause company bought the name and built Ukes in Asia under the Oscar Schmidt name, until it (the Oscar Schmidt name) was aquired by Washburn some time in the 2000's.
