T. B. stands for Tonk Brothers. Tonk Brothers was a major distributor in Chicago during the 1920's that sold Washburn, J.R Stewart, Dobro, Weisenborn, lyon and Healy and others. Regal later purchased the rights to many of these instruments from Tonk Bros.
